SURFACE DETAIL
CONTROL
MEETS BALANCE.
BAILU is tuned for precise control without sacrificing a smooth, stable glide. Measured surface resistance keeps movement composed through tracking, stopping, and micro-adjustments.
ONE SURFACE.
THREE RESPONSES.
The BAILU surface remains the same. The base changes how it responds under pressure.
FLEX
SOFTER FEEL
4 mm
Softer cushioning with greater compression under pressure.
CORE
BALANCED SUPPORT
4 mm
Balanced cushioning and support for a stable, versatile response.
FIRM
FIRMER SUPPORT
3 mm
Less compression for firmer support and a more direct response.
WHEN DEW
BEGINS TO FORM.
BAILU takes its name from 白露 (Bailu), one of the traditional 24 solar terms, often translated as “White Dew.”
It describes a seasonal moment when cooler air allows moisture to gather as fine dew. Quiet, subtle and gently resistant, this character became part of the inspiration behind BAILU — precise in control while retaining a smooth, stable glide.
WRITTEN TO
REFLECT THE FEEL.
XDOT uses the seasonal terms as a language for different surface characters, with each product name rendered in hand-brushed calligraphy.
In BAILU, the structure of 白 incorporates a subtle spiral movement, echoing precise micro-adjustments. Its restrained finishing stroke reflects stable resistance and control, while 露 extends into a more continuous, flowing motion that expresses smooth glide.
Together, the two characters translate BAILU’s CONTROL × BALANCE character into a visual form.
ATMOSPHERE,
TRANSLATED
INTO FORM.
The BAILU package extends the same seasonal idea into a quiet, restrained visual language.
A low-saturation mist-gray palette sets the atmosphere. A translucent sphere represents dew beginning to form, while layered mountains, morning mist and dew-covered grass create depth and carry the stillness, moisture and sense of condensation associated with Bailu into the package.
