SURFACE
The surface sets glide resistance, initial movement and stopping feel.
Speed, control, response and support all shape how a mousepad feels in use.
The point is not to find the fastest or slowest surface. It is to understand what works with the way you move.
Glide speed is only one part of how a mousepad feels. The surface sets friction and movement. The base changes support and compression. Pressure changes how those two are felt in use.
The surface sets glide resistance, initial movement and stopping feel.
The base changes compression and support, so the same surface can feel different under pressure.
More pressure makes the interaction between the surface and base easier to feel.
There is no single right speed. Some players prefer more resistance and a clearer stop. Others prefer freer movement and quicker transitions. Most preferences fall somewhere in between.
More resistance, more deliberate movement and a clearer stop.
A middle ground between resistance and freedom of movement.
Lower resistance with freer movement and quicker transitions.
None is inherently better. It depends on how you want the pad to move.
Start with how you move the mouse, not the game you play. Stopping, tracking and quick transitions each ask something different from the surface.
Quick stops and small corrections benefit from a clearer sense of control and stable resistance.
Longer tracking movements feel easier when glide stays smooth and consistent.
Lower initial resistance makes direction changes and repositioning feel quicker and more immediate.
The same surface can feel different on a different base. Compression, support and response change with what sits underneath. The surface stays the same; the support does not.
Softer cushioning with more compression. Pressure is felt more clearly through the base.
A balance of compression and support, with enough cushioning to give while remaining stable.
Less compression and less movement in the base give a firmer, more direct response.
All three bases use the same surface. The difference is in compression, support and response.
Start with the surface character you prefer, then choose the base support that feels right. BAILU and JINGZHE sit at different points between control and speed.
Precise control with a smooth, stable glide.
Responsive speed with a smooth, controlled glide.
Once you choose the surface, select FLEX, CORE or FIRM for the support you prefer.
